On March 26, 2020, 33-year-old Khalia Sturdivant was found with a gunshot wound in an alley on the 7800 block of 1st Avenue North in Birmingham, Alabama. Responding to a burglary call around 1:20 p.m., East Precinct officers discovered Sturdivant in critical condition. He was transported to UAB Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
