On July 22, 2022, 23-year-old Reed Anderson Rigsby of Heflin, Alabama, was found unresponsive inside a residence in the 4500 block of 6th Avenue South in Birmingham. Responding to a report of a person down at approximately 2:40 PM, South Precinct officers discovered Rigsby lying unresponsive. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced him deceased.
