On February 6, 2024, 33-year-old Colby Lemar Cade was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 6:35 p.m. at the Shell gas station located at 1529 Old Springville Road. Cade and an adult female were approached by an unknown assailant who opened fire on them. In an attempt to escape and seek help, the female victim drove their vehicle to nearby Fire Station #30 at 1512 Old Springville Road.
