On September 27, 2020, 42-year-old Michael Alexander McGee was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama, following a dispute over parking spaces. The incident occurred around 2:15 p.m. in the 3700 block of 42nd Street North. Responding officers found McGee lying on the side of the road with a gunshot wound; he was transported to UAB Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Two other individuals were also wounded in the altercation, though their conditions were not specified.
