On November 24, 2024, 20-year-old Dontrell Gooden of Birmingham, Alabama, was found deceased in his vehicle near Spruce Avenue and Cunningham Street in the Brummit Heights neighborhood. He had been reported missing after last being seen on November 22 around 11:30 p.m. in the Crestwood area.
