On June 23, 2018, 20-year-old Kijuan Ulysses Harrell was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. At approximately 1:22 a.m., officers from the South Precinct responded to the 500 block of Valley Avenue, where they discovered Harrell in the front passenger seat of a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds. Birmingham Fire and Rescue transported him to UAB Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
