On July 28, 2020, at approximately 12:21 a.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire at the Villas at Westridge Apartment Complex, located in the 2300 block of Court R. Upon arrival, a resident informed officers of shots heard from a neighboring apartment. Through a window, officers observed an individual lying on the floor.
