On a summer evening in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of Spencer Burch, a 63-year-old man, was tragically cut short. On July 5, 2018, Burch was found inside his residence on Bessemer Road, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound. The discovery was made by a friend who had come to check on him, initiating a homicide investigation by the Birmingham Police Department.
