In the early morning hours of October 14, 2017, the life of 40-year-old Korry Evins, a male resident of a Forestdale, Alabama, apartment complex, was tragically cut short. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office launched a homicide investigation after Evins was found shot at the top of a staircase in his apartment building located in the 100 block of Crabapple Lane. Deputies responded to a report of a person shot just before 2:00 a.m. and discovered Evins, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
