On October 14, 2017, 40-year-old Korry D. Evins was fatally shot outside his apartment on Crabapple Lane in the Forestdale area of Birmingham, Alabama. Jefferson County Sheriff's detectives responded to the scene just before 2 a.m. Despite their efforts, Evins was pronounced dead at the location.
