On a late spring evening in Washington, D.C., a male resident, Irvan Jackson, in his 60s, was killed in an incident that remains an open wound for the community. On Saturday, May 1, 2010, at approximately 11:25 p.m., Jackson was murdered in the 4600 block of Jay Street, NE.
