In the afternoon of March 14, 2022, a shooting incident in the 700 block of 13th Street, Southeast, resulted in the death of 22-year-old Antoine Jenkins. Jenkins and another man, 62-year-old Antwan Brown, were in a parking lot of the Potomac Gardens apartment complex when an individual approached them and opened fire. Police believe the attack was targeted.
Emergency services, upon arriving at the scene at approximately 3:21 p.m., found both Jenkins and Brown with gunshot wounds. Antoine
