In the pre-dawn hours of April 15, 2022, the life of 62-year-old Gregory Burton, a male resident of Northwest Washington, D.C., was tragically cut short. At approximately 12:39 a.m., in the 1500 block of Good Hope Road, Southeast, Burton was fatally shot. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene in the Fairlawn neighborhood, where they discovered Burton with a gunshot wound. Despite the arrival of emergency medical services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
