On August 28, 2007, Jamil Jackson, aged 18, was fatally shot in the 1200 block of Eaton Road, SE, Washington, D.C. The incident occurred around 10:55 a.m. when Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officers responded to reports of gunfire. Jackson was found at the scene with gunshot wounds, and despite emergency response efforts, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after being discovered.
