On March 13, 2004, George Barnes was stabbed to death in the early morning hours inside the Between Friends Club, located at 1115a U Street, Northwest Washington, D.C. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) received a radio call and arrived at the club to find Barnes unconscious and unresponsive.
