Tanea Spurlock, a Black female teenager from Detroit, Michigan, was the subject of public concern after being reported missing on multiple occasions over several years. At the time of her disappearances, she was described as standing 5 feet, 4 inches tall with brown eyes. Her hair was reported as black, and at one point was styled in blonde with red box braids.
The circumstances of her being reported missing followed a similar pattern.
In October 2022, when she was 12 years old, authorities said Tanea left her home in the 8200 block of Westwood Street without permission. At that time, she was reportedly wearing a long black coat and pink and white Jordan shoes. She was again reported missing from the same residence in February 2024 at age 14, and again in April 2025 at age 15.
The most recent public alert was issued in April 2026, when Tanea was 16 years old. Each time she was reported missing, the Detroit Police Department and community members sought the public’s help to ensure her safe return, circulating her photograph and description. The repeated alerts created a prolonged period of worry for her family and those following her case.
The search for Tanea came to a positive conclusion in the spring of 2026. On May 9, 2026, it was reported that Tanea had been located.Last Seen: Apr 8, 2026
