On October 7, 2018, at approximately 8:13 a.m., Mobile Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1600 block of Dexter Avenue, near Ladd-Peebles Stadium. Upon arrival, officers discovered 23-year-old Deontae Davis suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
