On July 12, 2017, 43-year-old Derrick Buford was fatally shot in Mobile, Alabama. The incident occurred on the 1600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, where officers found Buford deceased at the scene. The Mobile Police Department initiated a murder investigation but did not immediately release information about potential suspects.
