On a summer evening in Mobile, Alabama, the life of 22-year-old Joshua Stallworth was tragically cut short. On June 16, 2022, Stallworth, a young male, found himself at the Bay Pointe Apartments on St. Stephens Road in the Toulminville community. It was there that he and another man, 29-year-old Kendric Pritchett, were met with a hail of gunfire. When police responded to the scene at approximately 7:45 p.m., they discovered both Stallworth and Pritchett suffering from life-threatening gunshot
wounds. Despite the immediate response from Mobile Fire-Rescue, both men were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The initial investigation into the double homicide pointed towards a violent encounter. While the specific motive for the shooting remains unclear in public reports, it was suggested that Kendric Pritchett may have been involved in an altercation with a suspect prior to the fatal shooting.
