On April 14, 2015, at approximately 2:20 a.m., Mobile Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 2000 block of Eagle Drive. Upon arrival, officers found 38-year-old Marlo Demetrius Derks suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to Springhill Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
