On October 19, 2017, 21-year-old Carlos Tremaine Peebles Jr. was fatally shot at the Quik Pick gas station on St. Stephens Road in Mobile, Alabama. Peebles, a father of a 3-month-old child with another on the way, sustained a gunshot wound to the head and succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The incident also involved 19-year-old Henry Perryman, who was shot twice during the altercation.
