In the fall of 2017, the life of 21-year-old Carlos Tremaine Peebles Jr., a young father from Mobile, Alabama, was tragically cut short. On the evening of Thursday, October 19, 2017, a shooting incident unfolded at a Quik Pick convenience store located on St. Stephens Road. When police arrived at approximately 10:15 p.m., they discovered Peebles had been shot. He was quickly transported to a local hospital for treatment, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
