On October 8, 2015, 21-year-old Jarell Raheem Bettis was fatally shot in Prichard, Alabama. The incident occurred in the 300 block of Hale Drive, where officers responded to reports of gunfire and discovered Bettis suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
