On February 7, 2020, George Earnest Paige III was fatally shot during an altercation at a convenience store on Dunlap Circle in Prichard, Alabama. The incident began as a verbal dispute between Paige and another individual, which escalated into gunfire. Paige was transported to a hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries.
