On December 3, 2016, 35-year-old Donny Boyd was fatally shot inside a gas station in Mobile, Alabama. The incident occurred when the assailant entered the establishment, targeted Boyd, and attempted to shoot witnesses; however, the gun jammed, preventing further violence. Boyd's family stated that he did not know the alleged shooter, suggesting the attack was unprovoked.
