In the early winter of 2016, the life of 35-year-old Donny Boyd, a Black male from Mobile, Alabama, was tragically cut short in a seemingly senseless act of violence. On the evening of December 3rd, Boyd was inside a local gas station when an assailant entered and opened fire, fatally wounding him. According to his family, Boyd did not know the person who shot him, leading them to believe that the attack was entirely unprovoked.
