In the early hours of a Thursday morning in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 28-year-old Carltez Clark, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On January 3, 2019, Clark was shot in the West End of the city. In a desperate attempt to save his life, he was driven to the Birmingham Police Department's West Precinct.

Upon arrival at the precinct, emergency services were alerted, and Clark was swiftly transported to UAB Hospital. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, he succumbed to h ...
