On November 14, 2018, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Birmingham police officers responded to reports of a shooting on the 7600 block of 3rd Avenue South in the East Lake neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 24-year-old Carderius Terrell Ware suffering from a gunshot wound. Ware was transported to UAB Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
