On October 8, 2023, at approximately 4:52 a.m., Winston-Salem police officers responded to a reported shooting in the 3800 block of North Glenn Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 34-year-old Calvin Lavar Cunningham suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by police and EMS personnel, Cunningham succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
