On the evening of March 15, 2019, 39-year-old African American male Rodregous Gurly of Tarrant, Alabama, was fatally shot in Birmingham. The incident occurred around 10:00 p.m. in the 200 block of 51st Street North. Birmingham Police officers responded to reports of gunfire and encountered a woman at the scene who claimed to be the victim of a robbery.
