Tyrese Nelson, a 20-year-old from Phenix City, Alabama, was fatally shot on January 6, 2020. The shooting occurred in the early morning hours in the 2000 block of 14th Avenue, a residential area in the city. Law enforcement officers responded to the scene after receiving reports of gunfire and found Nelson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite attempts to save his life, he was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
