In the winter of 2016, the life of 18-year-old Alonzo Nyyky Kamari Pipkin, a Black male affectionately known as 'Smush,' was tragically cut short. On the evening of February 4th, in Phenix City, Alabama, the sound of gunfire shattered the quiet of 14th Court. When police responded to the reports, they discovered a grim scene inside one of the residences. Pipkin and another young man, 24-year-old London Long, were found deceased, both having suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
