On November 6, 2020, 28-year-old Edward Love was fatally shot while seated in his vehicle in the 700 block of King Drive, Phenix City, Alabama. Witnesses reported seeing a man fire at Love's car before fleeing the scene on foot. The Phenix City Police Department initiated a homicide investigation following the incident.
