In the fall of 2020, a shooting in Phenix City, Alabama, resulted in the death of 26-year-old Edward Trevor Love. The incident, which occurred on November 6th, launched a police investigation that would lead to the eventual arrest of multiple suspects.
Reports from that Friday night detailed a shooting that claimed Love's life. In the days and weeks that followed, law enforcement officials worked to identify those responsible for the young man's death.
Their investigation led them to identify a male suspect who initially evaded capture after fleeing from the police.
By the end of December, a significant development in the case occurred with the arrest of the primary suspect on outstanding capital murder warrants. In addition to the male suspect, a woman was also charged in connection with the fatal shooting. The pair were identified as a Phenix City couple and both faced murder charges related to the shooting on King Drive.
