On June 9, 2020, 19-year-old Zion Quondarius Highsmith was fatally shot in Phenix City, Alabama. The incident occurred shortly after midnight in the 200 block of 16th Avenue South, where a party was taking place. According to Phenix City Police Captain Darryl Williams, a small, light-colored, four-door sedan drove by the residence and opened fire.
