Matthew Paul Chena, a 20-year-old man from Phenix City, Alabama, was tragically killed on July 12, 2023, in a violent shooting. The incident occurred in the late afternoon when Chena was found with gunshot wounds in the vicinity of a residential area in the southern part of Phenix City. Emergency responders arrived at the scene quickly, but despite their efforts to save his life, Chena was pronounced dead from his injuries shortly after being transported to a local hospital.
