In the early morning hours of October 8, 2023, a sense of unease settled over the 500 block of 16th Avenue in Phenix City, Alabama. At approximately 1:57 a.m., the sound of gunfire shattered the night, prompting a response from the Phenix City Police Department. Arriving at the scene, officers discovered a grim tableau.
