On October 8, 2023, at approximately 1:57 a.m., the Phenix City Police Department responded to a shooting incident at 501 16th Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 20-year-old Brakevious Williams suffering from multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
