On January 28, 2020, 16-year-old Kenneth "Bryce" Davis of Fort Mitchell, Alabama, was fatally shot during an altercation in Lee County. The incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. in the 600 block of Lee Road 307, near the Russell County line. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Davis unresponsive on the front porch of a residence, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Lee County Coroner Bill Harris.
