On January 21, 2021, in Phenix City, Alabama, 24-year-old Dadrian Trottman and 25-year-old Daven Lindsey were found shot to death in the 900 block of Sandfort Road. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene at 9:25 p.m.

Following the incident, the Phenix City Police Department detained 28-year-old Darius Jamar King as a person of interest. King was subsequently charged with murder in connection with the double homicide.
