On January 12, 2020, at approximately 1:21 a.m., Decatur Police responded to a reported shooting in the 3200 block of Modaus Road SW. Upon arrival, officers discovered 52-year-old Wayne Harold Jones deceased from a gunshot wound. The incident was considered isolated, and authorities initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
