On April 24, 2011, at approximately 1:55 p.m., Santos Jobel Martinez Umansor, a 23-year-old resident of Washington, D.C., was violently beaten and killed in the 2300 block of Ontario Road NW. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to reports of the incident, where they found Umansor gravely injured. Despite emergency response efforts, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
