On July 20, 2020, 30-year-old Frederick Rice was shot and killed on Mokry Drive in Corpus Christi, Texas. Rice, who was visiting a home on Mokry Drive, was found suffering from gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead at Spohn Shoreline Hospital. The Nueces County Medical Examiner's office determined that Rice died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Detectives identified 24-year-old Jared Naranjo as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant for his arrest. Naranjo was charged with murder
