In the winter of 2013, a family dispute in Northeast Washington, D.C. turned tragic, leading to the death of 53-year-old Emanuel Campbell. On the evening of January 17th, police and emergency services responded to a call in the 2000 block of Maryland Avenue, NE, where they found an unconscious man bleeding from an apparent head injury.
