On the evening of December 30, 2020, the Talladega County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of an argument over property damage on Front Street in Bon Air, Alabama. Upon arrival, deputies discovered 37-year-old Mark Brandon Hogan of Vincent, Alabama, unresponsive and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
