On March 12, 2016, 22-year-old Wesley Shannon "Chocolate" Taylor was fatally shot in the Battleground community of Cullman County, Alabama. The incident occurred around 5:00 p.m. on County Road 1101. Authorities responded promptly to the scene and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Taylor's death.
