On March 4, 2021, 21-year-old Carlos DeWayne Wells Jr. was fatally shot in Bessemer, Alabama. The incident occurred around noon in the 2100 block of Berkley Avenue, where police discovered Wells on the front porch of a residence, deceased from a gunshot wound.
