On the evening of May 15, 2021, 20-year-old JaiShuntae Browning was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. At approximately 8:51 p.m., officers from the West Precinct responded to a ShotSpotter alert and a 911 call reporting a person shot in the 2500 block of 29th Place West. Upon arrival, they found Browning seated in a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Princeton Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
