In the autumn of 2021, a domestic dispute in Birmingham, Alabama, escalated to a fatal conclusion, claiming the life of 60-year-old Charles Sylvester Stewart. On the evening of Wednesday, October 27, 2021, Birmingham Police were dispatched to a residence where they discovered Stewart suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the immediate response from Birmingham Fire and Rescue, his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
