On July 3, 2021, at approximately 8:53 p.m., Mobile Police officers responded to a report of a person down in the 1100 block of Middle Ring Road in Mobile, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 19-year-old Derrick Carson III, who had been shot multiple times. Despite immediate medical attention, Carson succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
