A 74-year-old male, James Leevaughn Jones, was tragically killed in his Mobile, Alabama, apartment on the night of June 29, 2021, in a devastating case of mistaken identity. The events leading to his death began earlier that evening with a dispute at another location that resulted in the shooting of a woman.
