In the early hours of October 12, 2016, the life of 28-year-old Black / African American male Kenjuan Dailey was tragically cut short in Mobile, Alabama. Responding to reports of gunfire, Mobile police arrived at a residence in the 1000 block of Halls Mill Road to find a grim scene. Dailey was discovered suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a local hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The initial
investigation suggested that a confrontation had occurred before the shooting, though the specific details of the dispute were not immediately clear. As detectives processed the scene and interviewed witnesses, they began to piece together the events that led to Dailey's death.
