In the early spring of 2017, the life of 34-year-old Cedric Smith was cut short by an act of gun violence in Mobile, Alabama. On the evening of Friday, March 3rd, Smith was fatally shot in the nearby city of Prichard. The incident prompted an immediate investigation by the Prichard Police Department, who treated the case as a homicide.
