In the late hours of a Sunday evening in Mobile, Alabama, the sound of gunshots shattered the night at the Beverly Motel on Government Boulevard. Responding to the reports on January 7, 2024, police officers discovered a grim scene inside one of the motel rooms. There, they found 27-year-old Creston Marks, a male who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The investigation into the shooting quickly pointed to a suspect.
The Mobile Police Department identified 25-year-old Rosevelt Richardson in connection with the homicide. The following day, on Monday, January 8, 2024, Richardson was taken into custody by law enforcement.
Rosevelt Richardson, a resident of Prichard, was subsequently charged with murder for the death of Creston Marks. In addition to the murder charge, he also faced a charge for being a certain person forbidden to possess a firearm. Following his arrest, Richardson was booked into the Mobile County Metro Jail as the police investigation into the death of Creston Marks continued.
