On January 7, 2024, at approximately 11:14 p.m., Mobile Police Department officers responded to reports of gunshots at the Beverly Motel, located at 4384 Government Boulevard in Mobile, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 27-year-old Creston Rashad Marks in one of the motel rooms, suffering from a gunshot wound. Marks was pronounced dead at the scene.
