On the evening of September 1, 2020, at approximately 8 p.m., Mobile Police responded to a drive-by shooting at the intersection of Dauphin Island Parkway and McVay Drive North. Upon arrival, officers discovered 35-year-old Quintez Pryear in the passenger seat of a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Reports indicate that unknown assailants in an unidentified vehicle opened fire on the vehicle Pryear was occupying.
